6/12/2018 10:33:30 AM

The Old St. Thomas Anglican Church is holding their 4th annual "Founders Day" Civic Service on July 8th. Founders Day is a celebration of the founder of St. Thomas Daniel Rapelje and to acknowledge that if our founders had not come here, then there would be no St. Thomas.

The day is being held at the Old St. Thomas Church from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Reverend Canon Nick Wells, Chaplin at the Old St. Thomas Church says that the history of St. Thomas dates back to the early 1800s.

Wells says that there are multiple things planned for the afternoon.

Wells says that the afternoon is open to all St. Thomas City Councillors and Staff as well as City Councillors and Staff from Elgin County.
