Remembrance Day Ceremonies are taking place in St. Thomas and Elgin County this weekend. Valley View Home in St. Thomas is holding a ceremony at 1 p.m. on Friday (November 9).
A ceremony in Dutton is being held on Saturday night (November 10) at 7 p.m. at the Dutton Community Centre.
Springfield is holding their ceremony on Sunday morning (November 11) at the Springfield Cenotaph at 9:15 a.m.
In St. Thomas the Royal Canadian Legion Lord Elgin Branch 41 is hosting the ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Garden on Sunday (November 11). The ceremony will begin at 10:45 a.m.
Moore Street will be closed from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. for the ceremony. The west half of Moore Street will be open for accessible parking only and the east half will be available for Destination Church parking.   
A ceremony will also be held in Port Stanley on Sunday. The ceremony is taking place at the cenotaph at the Legion on George Street. A parade will begin at Main Street south at 10:45 a.m. and finish at the legion for the ceremony.
The Port Stanley Sailors are offering free admission to their home game on Saturday night to all Veterans and Legion Members.
