The 20th annual Senior’s Picnic in the Park is taking place in Pinafore Park on Wednesday (July 10) from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The free event features food, drinks, local vendors, classic cars, live entertainment, draw prizes and more centered around the main pavilion. The event usually sees between 1,000 – 1,500 seniors attend.
Advertising and Marketing Lead Janet Golding says that the seniors love attending the picnic because of the sense of community it gives them.
Golding says that the picnic would not be possible without the support of multiple volunteer groups. Those attending should note that access to Pinafore Park is off of Wilson Ave in the west due to construction on Elm Street.
