A Bring Back The 90’s night will be taking place on Saturday August 10th, with all money raised going to support Courtney Dube and her battle with cancer. Courtney, who is currently battling cervical cancer is no longer able to work due to her health and treatments, so her former co-workers decided they wanted to help out any way they could while also celebrating Courtney and her love of 90’s music.
One of Courtney’s co-workers and co-organizer of the event Lauren Goossens says Courtney has become like family to her and their fellow co-workers and this is just something little that they can do to help support her.
Goossens says all proceeds raised throughout the night will be going to support Courtney’s daughter Sawyer’s education fund.
The event will be taking place at The Back Alley from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. with admission to the night being $10. Food and drinks will be available throughout the night and raffle baskets will be set up to help raise some funds as well. You are being asked to come dressed in your best 90’s wear as there will be a best dressed contest taking place.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the front desk of the Dalewood Early Learning Centre.
If you wish to support the cause but are not able to attend the event, there is a GoFundMe page set up that is taking donations.
