The first ever myFM All Hands on Deck Food Drive will be taking place on Thursday August 15th at three locations in Elgin County. myFM will be at the Real Canadian Superstore in St. Thomas, Miller’s Valu-Mart in Aylmer and at the Port Stanley Foodland from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The day will be looking to collect donations for the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank, Destination Church’s Brown bag lunch program, the Corner Cupboard in Aylmer and the Port Stanley Community Food Bank.
General Manager of myFM Samantha Wakefield says that the idea for the food drive is focused on back to school.
Wakefield says that she’s issuing a corporate challenge to businesses and even individuals in Elgin County to support the day to help ensure that it’s the largest food drive ever.
