A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the Elgin County OPP say an edged weapon was used in an assault in Rodney on Tuesday morning (July 23). The call of the alleged assault occurred around 11 a.m. on Sandford Street.
Emergency crews responded and transported one male to hospital with serious injuries. The OPP have arrested a suspect in connection with the incident and say there is no risk to public safety.
The OPP’s Forensic Identification Unit will be attending to continue the investigation and charges are pending its completion.
Sandford Street between Harper Street and Victoria Street will remain closed while they investigate.
