The Elgin County OPP have laid charges in their investigation into a collision that resulted in a motorcycle driver being airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
The incident that myFM news first informed you about on July 23rd involved a collision between a motorcycle and a commercial motor vehicle at the intersection of Lyons Line and Putnam Road.
The OPP’s investigation revealed that the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Lyons Line when they say the commercial motor vehicle turned onto Putnam Road from Lyons Line, causing the collision.
The OPP have charged the driver of the commercial motor vehicle with careless driving causing bodily harm.
The driver of the motorcycle remains in hospital in serious condition.
