Pinafore Park will play host to a variety of different local musicians and bands throughout the month of August during their Music In The Park events. Every Sunday the Morris F. Jones Bandshell will see a different line up of locals musicians playing a variety of genres including country, aCapella, barbershop and more beginning at 6 p.m. You can take advantage of the bandshell benches for a front row seat or bring your own lawn chair for this family friendly event.
Administrative Assistant for Parks and Recreation, April Gazda says the city has been hosting Music In The Park for a number of years.
Gazda says the music nights are free to attend but they will be accepting non-perishable food donations as well as feminine hygiene products for the Caring Cupboard in St. Thomas.
Free will donations are also collected each week by the acts as they put on their performances free of charge.
