The Provincial Government is investing funds in 4 Elgin County Municipalities to assist with road infrastructure and transit. Minister Jeff Yurek announced the funding for West Elgin, Dutton Dunwich and Southwold on Monday morning (August 12). West Elgin will receive $399,626 towards their Blacks Road reconstruction project and $20,538 to purchase a new transit bus.
Dutton Dunwich is receiving $399,205 for the Ash Line culvert replacement and surface improvement project. Southwold is receiving $209,747 for their Second Line bridge replacement project.
The projects total a more an $1 million investment from the Province.
The Province has also nominated all of the projects for the Federal Government’s Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program where if approved could see additional funding.
