The “First Rider Program” coming up on Saturday August 24th is aimed at introducing first-time school bus riders and their families to bus riding before the school year. The Southwestern Ontario Student Transportation Services is holding the free program as a way to answer any questions students or families may have.
The program will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s High School and will last around 30 minutes. They will introduce riding procedures and safety procedures for getting onto and riding the bus as well as go over emergency protocols. There will also be accessible school vehicles on site for any students with special needs.
The program is free and open to riders and children who walk or wheel to school. Preregistering for the event is not required.
