A nineteen year old London man has been charged following a speed racing incident. Around 10:30 p.m. Sunday (Aug 18) night, St. Thomas Police officers observed the vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed and racing other vehicles along Sunset Drive.
The nineteen year old then proceeded to lose control of his vehicle at the roundabout by blowing a tire that brought the driver and his vehicle to a stop.
Officers were then able to take the man into custody without incident where they charged him with one count Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle. The nineteen year old was released on a promise to appear in court, however the vehicle was seized by police and impounded for seven days.
