A search warrant at a storage unit has resulted in two men facing charges and stolen property seized. The search warrant came after the police recently arrested a 52 year-old St. Thomas man on drug possession charges. The storage unit was rented by the accused and prompted the search warrant.
Officers recovered tools that were reported as stolen from a vehicle on Henry Street earlier this month. Officers returned the seized property to the owner.
The 52 year old man is now facing an additional charge of possession of stolen property. The initial tool theft from the vehicle was caught on a residential security camera and through the investigation of the footage the police have arrested and charged a 36 year-old St. Thomas man with one count of theft and two counts of breaching release conditions.
