Two people have been charged following the recovery of a stolen boat. On Saturday (Aug 24) the St. Thomas Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch and the Street Crimes Unit made their way to Hamilton after receiving information about a boat and trailer that was reported as stolen back in June, was at an address in the city.
STP officers were able to locate the blue and white Bayliner Classic that was stolen from a parking lot on Sparling Road here in St. Thomas. Officers contacted members of the Hamilton Police Service who were able to place two people under arrest for the theft. A 39 year old female and 22 year old male were arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 as well as theft by conversion.
