The St. Thomas Police Service are investigating an incident that involved a truck that smashed through the front window of a downtown business and then fled the scene. The STPS report that witnesses observed a white F150 pick up truck that was traveling northbound on Elgin Street around 1:15 a.m. this morning (Aug 29) run through the intersection at Talbot Street and then into the front window of the “Frank About It” business.
This resulted in the smashing of the large pane window in the front of the store. The driver of the pick up truck then reversed out of the business and proceeded to flee the scene in the west bound direction.
The STPS are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the station or crime stoppers if you wish to remain anonymous. They are also asking the public to keep an eye out for a white F150 pickup truck with front end damage consistent with the collision described.
