The St. Thomas Site Plan Committee has approved the application to construct four, two storey townhouses at 63 Elm Street. The proposed townhouses would be built south of Elm Street and east of the Whistlestop Trail. Designs before council show 4 separate townhouses with a total of 16 units. The proposed units would all face east.
Each unit would have 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a basement.
The plans approved by the committee are revised from the original proposal from Prespa Construction Limited as a result of feedback from the public meeting.
Neighbours were concerned with the original facade, lighting, fencing for privacy and the preservation of trees. The committee approved the proposal with a number of stipulations including the developer paying for the fees needed for the road widening along Elm Street. The report is on tonight’s (September 3) council meeting to be received for information.
