A St. Thomas man has been charged with impaired driving following a single vehicle collision in London. Middlesex County OPP were called to the area of Adelaide Street at approximately 5 a.m. yesterday (Sept 4) morning due to a report of a single vehicle collision.
Upon investigation at the scene, it was determined that the male driver was impaired. 21 year old Chase Davidson-Swales of St. Thomas was arrested and transported to the police station for further testing. Swales was charged with Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The 21 year old was issued a 90 day Automatic Drivers Licence Suspension and had his vehicle impounded where it will remain for 7 days. Swales is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London on October 21, 2019.
