The Elgin County Museum will be joining in on the Nationwide Culture Days celebration on September 28th. Their event will be taking place at the museum from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., where people will be able to stop by and visit their new “Voices from the Engraver” exhibit, as well as participate in some fun, hands on drop in children’s activities.
Curator of the Elgin County Museum Mike Baker says kids will get to try their hand at engraving a stamp of their choice to go along with the theme of the day.
Baker says that they will also have London artist Ron Milton on hand to demonstrate how an intaglio engraver’s hand press from 19th century works.
The event is free to attend, with donations to the museum being accepted.
