A single vehicle collision in West Elgin on Sunday afternoon (Sept 22) resulted in a 75 year-old Rodney man losing his life. The OPP say that the collision happened on Pioneer Line near Kerr Road around 2 p.m. when the vehicle left the roadway, went into the ditch and struck a tree.
Emergency crews responded, extracted the driver from the vehicle and took him to hospital with life threatening injuries.
Kenneth Byers later succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The OPP are still looking into the cause of this fatal collision.
