A St. Thomas man turned himself into police on Wednesday after they say he falsely reported a robbery on Monday morning. Police say that the man called 911 and reported being robbed in a parking lot on Curtis Street by two men driving a black car around 8:30 Monday morning. Police investigated and found that the incident never occurred.
The 35 year old admitted to the false report and was charged with one count of public mischief. He will answer the charge at a future court date.
