Ontario public school students may notice some changes in their schools starting today, as thousands of education workers in the province begin a work-to-rule campaign.
Contract talks between Ontario’s Conservative government and the union for 55,000 school custodians, clerical workers and early childhood educators broke down on the weekend.
They and Ontario’s public-school teachers have been without a contract since August 31st.
CUPE says support workers will begin a job action today that will include not working overtime or performing extra duties.
