Lynhurst Variety will soon be selling alcohol and beer. The store at the corner of Wellington and St. George Street has been approved as an “LCBO convenience outlet” from the Province and will now be permitted to sell spirits, beer and wine for the same price as the Beer store or LCBO.
Earlier this year the Province announced that they were looking to open 200 outlets by the end of the year in what they refer to as underserved communities.
Owner – Operator Chad Ghattas says that he believes that the offerings will make it easier for area residents.
Ghattas says that the new offerings will not take away shelving space from any of their existing products and they are undergoing renovations to accommodate the extra space. Ghattas is hoping to have the outlet operational by the end of October.
