An Amber Alert is in effect as the Niagara Regional Police say that 5 children have been abducted. The children range in age from 5 to 14 years old. Police are searching 49 year old Ian MacDermid as the suspect in this case. MacDermid is described as caucasian 6 feet weighing 280 lbs with blue eyes and blonde hair.
MacDermid’s vehicle is a gold pickup truck which was last seen in the Jordan Ontario area in Niagara and they believe it may have been headed to the Toronto area. If you see the suspect or the vehicle you’re asked to call 911.
The children are described as:
Eska MacDermid, Asian, female, 13 years old, 5 foot 1, brown eyes and brown hair.
Evelyn MacDermid, Asian, female, 5 years old, brown eyes, black hair and 3 foot 8.
Magnus MacDermid, Asian, male, 14 years old, 5 foot 6, brown eyes and black hair.
Mattias MacDermid, Asian, male, 10 years. old, 4 foot 8, brown eyes and light brown hair.
Sovereign MacDermid, Asian, female, 11 years old, 5 foot 2, brown eyes and black hair.
