A 46 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested while a 52 year old St. Thomas man is currently wanted following an assault that took place back in September. The incident occurred on Margaret Street after the 2 men showed up at the male victims residence around 8 p.m. with plans of collecting a debt that was owed.
When the victim refused the pay, one of the men began to damage the victim’s car with a baseball bat. The victim then came outside where the situation escalated as one of the men began hitting the victim’s vehicle with the truck that the 2 men were driving. The victim was then punched and choked by one of the suspects before the 2 fled the scene prior to police arrival.
The 46 year old man did turn himself into police Wednesday (Oct 2) evening around 7:30 p.m. where he was charged with one count of Assault and one count Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident and then later released on a promise to appear in court. The 52 year old is currently at large and wanted on a warrant for one count Assault and one count Mischief Under $5000.
