Elgin’s Oktoberfest is taking place this weekend at the Saxonia Hall in Aylmer. The community festival looks to celebrate the club’s German Canadian Heritage. The festival will be taking place on both Friday and Saturday nights and will follow a traditional Oktoberfest with authentic German Food along with the music and polkas that have been featured in the German fall festivals for years.
Vice President of Saxonia Hall David Pfingstgraef says that Friday night will feature a slightly different musical act.
Pfingstgraef says that Saturday night will feature a performance by Walter Ostanek that will feature traditional Oktoberfest music and polka. Advanced tickets are required for the event.
