The Special Investigations Unit is looking into an arrest in Bayham early Monday morning (October 7) after a person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The OPP were called just after 3 a.m. to the area of a hemp field in Bayham with reports of a suspicious vehicle.
The Emergency Response Team and the canine unit helped in the arrest after several people fled the scene when officers arrived.
The OPP were able to bring 5 people into custody. One person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The SIU was notified and they will now be looking into the incident.
The OPP is not permitted to provide any further information on this case.
