The St. Thomas Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a theft suspect that was involved in two separate incidents on Monday afternoon (October 7). A man called police around 2:30 p.m. when he found a woman in the backyard of his Miller Street home allegedly attempting to steal a bag of tools.
The woman dropped the tools, left the backyard and fled on a bicycle after the man yelled at her. The caller reported to police that the woman met up with another man on a bicycle down the street.
A short time later police were called with reports of a woman that allegedly stole a package from a mailbox on Trafalgar Street. The woman is described as short, heavy set and having purple hair. The male accomplice was reported to be wearing a red hoodie. If you have any information on either incident you’re asked to call the St. Thomas Police or Crime Stoppers.
