The Liberal Party of Canada is expected to form a minority government as the final results of the federal election are still coming in. Multiple outlets have declared the Liberals to have a minority.
The Liberals are elected in 156 ridings and 170 was the required number to form a majority government.
The Conservatives have been elected in 121 ridings, including Elgin-Middlesex-London. The NDP has taken a hit in this election as their 25 seats are down from their 44 in the last election. The Bloc Quebec has come roaring back into the political picture, elected in 32 ridings. This is an increase of more than 3 times the 2015 election where they had 10 seats.
