A special weather statement and a frost advisory are in effect for St. Thomas and Elgin County. The temperature is expected to drop to or below the freezing mark tonight. Environment Canada recommends that you protect any frost sensitive plants or trees.
Significant rainfall is also possible Saturday night into Sunday morning as we could see upwards of 30 – 50 mm of rain by Sunday afternoon. The rain is expected to begin Saturday afternoon and be heavy at times. The rain is expected to be the heaviest overnight on Saturday.
The system is expected to shift to scattered showers by Sunday afternoon.
