Dowler-Karn Limited and the Elgin-St. Thomas Community Foundation has announced the creation of the Karn Family Fund. The Karn Family Fund was officially announced today (Oct 30) at a ceremony that also saw a $100,000 initial donation from Dowler-Karn Limited to the fund. The Karn Family Fund is within the Elgin-St. Thomas Community Foundation, allowing them the opportunity to make sure that the money goes where it is needed in the community.
Vice President of Dowler-Karn Limited Barb Molinaro says they have always felt the need to continue giving back to the community but it was even more evident following their 75th anniversary community grant campaign.
Molinaro says that they are excited to work with the Elgin-St. Thomas Community Foundation as their continued work in our community provides them with a fantastic platform to launch their fund.
Molinaro adds that she is thankful for her parents and grandparents who always instilled in them the importance of supporting charitable causes and giving back to the community.
