The Catfish Creek Conservation Authority has issued another gale warning for the Lake Erie Shoreline for Friday and Saturday (Nov 1, Nov 2). The conservation authority says that the high winds will continue throughout the day today an into the late evening on Saturday. Winds are expected to increase southwest 28 km this afternoon. Near midnight the wind is expected to continue to increase southwest 37 km, then veering to west 37 km by Saturday evening.
Waves from Lake Erie will continue to be in the 2 m – 3 m range today as the high winds continue.
They’re asking municipal flood coordinators to monitor the road conditions along the shoreline. Residents are also asked to use caution and stay away from the Lake Erie shoreline. The statement that was originally in effect until Saturday will now remain in effect until Sunday, November 3rd at noon.
