This year’s local Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign resulted in a record setting donation to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation. $44,124 was raised at the St. Thomas Tim Hortons locations through the week long campaign. This year’s total breaks their previous campaign high by close to $10,000.
Local Tim Hortons Owner – Operator Diane Stewart says that this year’s total meant a lot of cookies were made.
Stewart says that Smile Cookie week is one of the highlights of the year for their staff as they love to give back. This year’s funds are supporting women and children’s services department for the purchase of new birthing beds.
Director of Surgical Services, Women and Children Penny Lipcsik says that she was very happy to see this year’s donation total.
Lipcsik says that partnerships with Tim Hortons that the STEGH Foundation have worked to create help them to continue to deliver the high level of care that they want to achieve.
Over the last 5 years over $170,000 has been donated to the STEGH Foundation from the local Smile Cookie campaign.
