A winter travel advisory is in effect for St. Thomas and Elgin County for the next couple of days. Environment Canada says that snow squalls are expected to develop in Lake Huron today and move into the region Thursday night (November 7).
The snow squalls are expected to continue through Friday (November 8) and reduced visibility is expected at times.
If you are driving over the next couple of days be advised that the conditions on area roads can change quickly and you should adjust your driving to the conditions.
Total snowfall amounts of between 5 – 15 cm is possible by the time the system begins to weaken late Friday.
