St. Thomas and Elgin County will be joining communities all across the country on November 11th to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and given their life for our country in Remembrance Day Ceremonies. Four local communities will be holding their ceremonies on Sunday (November 10) in Port Stanley, Shedden, Dutton and Port Burwell.
The St. Thomas Remembrance Day ceremony will be taking place on Remembrance Day at the Veterans Memorial Garden beginning at 10:30 a.m. Aylmer, West Lorne and Springfield are also holding their ceremonies on Remembrance Day.
November 10:
-Shedden: Keystone Complex 9:30 a.m.
-Port Stanley: Parade beginning at Main Street at 10:30 a.m. heading across the lift bridge to the Cenotaph in Veterans Park for 11 a.m. service
-Port Burwell: Port Burwell Cenotaph 2 p.m.
-Dutton: Dutton Community Complex 7 p.m.
November 11:
– Springfield: Springfield Cenotaph 9 a.m.
– St. Thomas: Veterans Memorial Garden 10:30 a.m.
– Aylmer: Aylmer Cenotaph 10:45 a.m.
– West Lorne: West Lorne Cenotaph 11:00 a.m.
