Donations are now being accepted for the “Purses with Purpose” campaign in St. Thomas. The 3rd year campaign supports women in need by supplying them with gently used purses that are filled with essentials.
The purses are distributed to Inn Out of the Cold, the YWCA, the women’s shelter, Grace Cafe and the teen centre.
Organizer Tara Morrison says that the purses are filled with things that women in need can use.
Morrison says that last year’s campaign collected just over 100 filled purses and this year they are setting a goal of 200 purses.
Purses and items can be dropped off at 4 different locations in the City until November 30th.
