Volunteers are now being accepted for the Snow Angels program. The program through Mayor Joe Preston’s office sees volunteers shovel the driveway and sidewalks of those who are unable to shovel their own snow.
The program began as a City initiative but has been run out of the mayor’s office for the last number of years.
Mayor Preston says that the snow angels can be anyone.
Preston says that the program is a way to help people stay in their homes and also a way to prevent them from needing to pay for a snow removal service. To sign up as a volunteer you can contact the Mayor’s office at 519-631-1680 ext 4131.
