Police Service Dog Axle assisted the St. Thomas Police Service in an arrest that took place over the weekend. On Saturday around 8 p.m. officers observed a 33 year old man in the area of Talbot Street who was wanted by the STPS. Officers did attempt to stop the wanted male but he proceeded to run from police.
The canine unit was reported to be in the area and officers deployed PSD Axle who apprehended the male a short distance away. As a result of a investigation, the 33 year old male was also charged with failing to comply with his probation order as well as possession of Methamphetamine. He was remanded into custody by the courts.
