A 36 year old St. Thomas man was arrested on Thursday morning after he was found sleeping on the floor of a building he broke into. The incident began when the St. Thomas Police were called to a homeless drop in centre on Talbot Street after a citizen had reported that the front window of the building had been smashed. Upon investigation, officers discovered that the man had smashed the window, entered the building and then fell asleep on the floor.
Police took the man into custody without incident where he was held for a court appearance.
The 36 year old St. Thomas man is now facing multiple charges including one count Mischief to Property Under $5000, three counts Breach of Release Conditions and one count Trespass Enter Property When Prohibited.
