The Municipality of Central Elgin is accepting long term lease applications for the Port Stanley Dominion of Canada Building (DOC Building). The municipality is accepting the requests as part of a redevelopment of the building that is located at 191 Carlow Road on the west side of the harbour just south of the lift bridge.
The municipality says that there are many options of what a repurposed DOC Building could be transformed into. From art galleries and museums to shopping, restaurants or a microbrewery, there are many possibilities for transforming a historic building in the village.
Submissions of intent are due through the municipality’s website no later than December 18th with the proposal closing date set for Friday January 10th.
