A call of a suspected impaired driver in Aylmer led to the arrest of a 41 year old London woman. The incident happened around 5 p.m. on Monday when the call came in regarding a vehicle that was driving on Talbot Street East in Aylmer.
Officers located the vehicle a short time later and conducted a traffic stop. The officer alleges that a strong alcoholic smell could be detected on the driver’s breath and that there were also other signs of impairment.
The woman was placed under arrest for impaired driving. The woman also allegedly would not provide a breath sample which resulted in an additional charge for failing to comply with a demand from a peace officer.
