The Elgin County OPP are looking for the public’s help following a break and enter in Belmont. Police were called to a residence on Borden Ave, west of Louise Street around 8 p.m. on Thursday with reports of a break and enter that occurred between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
It is reported that the unknown suspects forced entry into the home through the front door and stole jewelry as well as cash from the residence. The Elgin County OPP’s Scenes of Crime Officer that attended the residence was able to collect evidentiary materials left behind by the suspect or suspects.
The police are asking that anyone that may have further information in relation to the break and enter to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
