The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital (STEGH) Foundation has announced that Executive Director Paul Jenkins has resigned from his position after nearly 7 years. On February 28th, 2020, Jenkins will leave his current roll with the Foundation to pursue new opportunities.
myFM spoke with Jenkins who says today’s announcement of his resignation is bittersweet.
From the World Tubing Championships to “Girls’ Night Out,” Jenkins envisioned and brought to life creative fundraising and community development initiatives that helped drive forward the foundation’s mission of supporting patient care excellence at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital.
Jenkins says that over the years, the accomplishment he is most proud of is STEGH’s Great Expansion.
Jenkins led the organization through the largest fundraising campaign in our community’s history, which is the $16 million Great Expansion and the construction of the North Tower of the Hospital.
Jenkins adds that he wants to thank the donors for their ongoing support of OUR hospital and says the Foundation is a better organization because of Elgin County’s passion and commitment to excellent local healthcare.
Jenkins will continue to support patient care excellence by remaining a committed member of the Jumbo Monthly Giving Club.
