Admitting this year will be a challenge for the Township of Southwold, Mayor Grant Jones says partnerships with neighbouring municipalities, the future of the Ford lands and regional transportation are top priorities in 2020.
Speaking this on Wednesday afternoon at a Mayor’s Luncheon in the St. Anne’s Centre, Jones indicated he has already had talks with St. Thomas Mayor Joe Preston on a possible bus service to London.
Jones also outlined the next step in finding tenants for the 620-acre property north of Talbotville, the former site of the St. Thomas Ford Assembly Plant.
Jones shared the stage with Preston and Central Elgin Mayor Sally Martyn to update community leaders on the state of the three municipalities.
