A 31 year old Aylmer woman has been charged with Impaired Driving after driving her vehicle into a ditch early Monday morning. At around 2:30 a.m. a witness that was following the driver called 911 after the vehicle was seen weaving into the oncoming lane and eventually into a ditch on Talbot Street east near Manor Road.
The woman was arrested by officers after failing a Field Sobriety Test on scene. She was taken to the police station for further testing by a Drug Recognition Expert, that once again resulted in a fail.
The 31 year old was charged Operation While Impaired by Drug and later released on a Promise to Appear in court. Her vehicle was later towed and impounded for seven days.
