A disturbance last night at a downtown St. Thomas restaurant has a 38-year-old Southwold woman facing a variety of charges.
Police were called to a Talbot Street business after the woman stole shoes and a cell phone from an employee. After an employee locked the restaurant doors following the discovery of what she did, the woman threw an extinguisher through a window and pulled the fire alarm, resulting in a visit from firefighters.
Amanda Elijah is now charged with theft and mischief to property under $5,000 and false alarm of fire. Her troubles didn’t end there, as she was wanted on a warrant in London and was turned over to London police.
