Following the overwhelming success of last years event, Stay True Tattoo will be holding another Semicolon Tattoo Day this Sunday (Feb 16). In an effort to serve more people, this years event will be taking place at the Joe Thornton Community Centre and will feature 20 tattoo artists. The event will also see some brand new semicolon designs as well as a few small encouraging word tattoos available for $40 to $75, depending on the design.
Members of the St. Thomas Police Association will once again be in attendance to help out and engage with members of the community during the event that is meant to raise awareness and funds for mental health.
All proceeds that are raised from the event will be going to support the Canadian Mental Health Association Elgin Branch.
Owner of Stay True Tattoo Rich Lamb says it’s amazing to see the police force and the community come together to support the fundraiser.
St. Thomas Police Officer Frank Boyes says that the event is a great opportunity for the police service to interact with the community on a positive note as well as help out a good cause.
Anyone wishing to get a tattoo to support the cause can stop by the arena anytime between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday.
