St. Thomas resident Terri Biloski spent her 44th birthday running for 44 consecutive hours to raise funds and awareness for Huntington’s disease. Biloski who is an avid runner has held runs to celebrate her birthday in the past but this year she upped the stakes.
She began running at midnight on her birthday and continued until 8 p.m. the next day, running a total of 250.8 kms. Friends and family joined her along the 44 hour run that took place throughout downtown St. Thomas.
Biloski says she decided to incorporate a fundraiser for Huntington’s disease because the cause is near and dear to her heart.
Biloski says that she is planning another run for this year but hopes to run for 10 days. Her goal is to run 1000 kms and raise $10,000 in an effort to help find a cure for Huntington’s. A fundraising page has been set up to help Biloski reach her $10,000 goal. Those wishing to make a donation or hear more of her story can click here.
