Southwestern Public Health has issued its first cold weather advisory for 2020. Environment Canada is calling for a low of minus 14 tonight and a windchill of minus 22 tomorrow (Friday) morning. The temperature will drop to minus 13 with a windchill of -19 into Saturday morning. The health unit advises individuals to take precautions to protect themselves from the cold to avoid complications such as frostbite and hypothermia. The cold weather advisory will remain in effect until Saturday morning.
