The OPP are warning of a new variation of an old scam that left an Oxford County resident out hundreds of dollars. The individual was in receipt of a cheque made out to them on Snapchat and asked to deposit it via online banking. They were then requested to send a portion of the funds back to the sender through an e-transfer. The cheque was counterfeit.
