The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario has announced that its Phase 6 strike protocol will begin today. While the union will expand its work-to-rule campaign, Thames Valley elementary schools will remain open until at least March 6th as no strikes will take place until then.
If no progress is made toward a contract agreement by that date, the federation says it will begin the next phase of its strike protocol on Monday, March 9.
The federation is in negotiations with the Government of Ontario and the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association to achieve a new collective agreement for elementary teachers.
