After fairly light snowfalls in February, Mother Nature replied with a big dose of the white stuff around the area at the tail end, heading into early March.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Peter Kimbell says the snowfall isn’t out of the realm of ordinary, despite the lack of flurries earlier in the month.
He says February was about a degree and a half warmer above average, which he said isn’t something to write home about, especially as January eclipsed the typical average by 5 degrees.
They anticipate some further snow and rainfalls in the coming days.
